While we love bringing experts on the show to share their insider tricks of the trade, sometimes our favorite tips come from our viewers.
Check out this adorable idea from Abby from Vineland, New Jersey!
Not only is this Christmas cookie tray entirely edible, it's a great way to use up any extra peppermint candy.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
A nonstick cookie sheet, parchment paper, round peppermints, and a small or large bowl, depending on the desired size of your tray.
WHAT TO DO:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cut a piece of parchment to fit your cookie sheet.
- Using your bowl as a guide (so your tray has a perfectly round center) begin placing mints around the base in circular patterns. Want to see what we mean? Watch Abby in peppermint tray making action above!
- Cook in the oven until the peppermints have fully melted together, into a single round tray shape.
- Let cool, and top with your favorite cookies.
P.S. We won't tell if you literally lick the plate clean.
Another great way to use up leftover peppermint candy? Make edible peppermint shot glasses!
